Hello, my name is Joana, I am currently studying at the Faculty of Architecture of the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León. I found out about Ser y Crecer through an online call for applications that was sent to my mother. I was hesitant at first, however, my mom supported me in applying, hoping that they could help me. I really wanted to finish my degree, but I was struggling due to lack of resources.
My first experience within the Academia Ser y Crecer online program was very difficult. It’s very different to take classes digitally, but all my classmates and teachers were very kind and I managed to adapt to the classes.
I would like to contribute to the improvement of my community, through my career and what the program gives me. I feel that I have the opportunity to make a social change, and contribute to the reconstruction of spaces, to allow marginal sectors to look beautiful and pleasant, without the need to spend so much money on materials.
I am grateful for the support and knowledge that I have been given, and I invite those interested to apply to apply and get to know Ser y Crecer. The opportunities they will offer them will help them to get ahead and grow academically and personally.
